Description

Up for sale is a beautiful pedestal bowl made by Wong Lee. Signed on the bottom with the crown 1895 mark. Measures 13" tall, the bowl is 9" in diameter. Made of porcelain with an ornate brass base and brass cherubs holding up the bowl. The bowl features mythical beasts - gryphons and dragons with flowers and drapery swags. Has a Majolica like border. The porcelain base rests on a footed brass base. Wong Lee started making these French inspired pieces in 1999. In excellent condition with a few spots of verdigris on one of the cherubs. A gorgeous piece different than most of his other pieces.
